I'll go w/ Natural Ice, though I don't know why in the heck you would cook w/ the stuff.:D.

I don't have special brat recipes, I grill 'em put them on homemade whole wheat rolls and call them good. Of course at this point, I am trying to figure out what kind of beer I want to try to cook with.

your home brew?

Oh how I wish! I've made some decent home brew in the past but not for a couple years. And in this case, no.

Theakston brings back some memories too, good and bad. :D

It's big world with many fine beers, and reading this thread makes me thirsty. Here's a hint to narrow the field a bit: the beer I used was brewed in the USA. I love Pilsner Urquell and Newcastle Brown Ale, but the only beer on hand, when the brats went into the pan was a domestic. And a tasty one at that.

Happy hunting ya steel savvy bastids!

Probably miles out but it is what I fancy drinking about now :)

Theakstons Old Peculier

Would you happen to live in a Borders town called Moffat? I spent a Christmas in Moffat during a big snow storm in '96 or '97; lost power for a day or two and sat around a turf fire talking and eating and...yeah, I remember Theakstons alright. There was a raucous pub down at the south end end of the town. Great town and nice people.

No right answers yet. I won't have computer access for the rest of the day, but I'll check back in this evening. Keep the guesses coming, someone needs this Bowie!
