Woo Hoo!... I am loving all of these Bowie photos! :)

I have some Bowie knives in my collection, but I was most surprised by the nice craftsmanship that was on this Japanese manufactured Bowie made for the Parker Cutlery Company. Found it NIB at a Gun Show, and scooped it up. It has genuine Mother of Pearl handle scales with nice black liners to give it that certain touch. The rest of the handle is nickel silver, with designs honoring Bowie knives of the mid to late 1800's. No custom knife, of course, but still a nicely made production knife ☺

At the next Gun Show I went to, I wound up buying another Japanese made Parker Cutlery Company Bowie from the same guy... This one being a little larger and having genuine Buffalo Horn handle scales with red liners. The handle also has the nickel silver hardware. Both of these knives are likely around 35 years old now, but I found them both "as new" with their boxes.

Very cool Bowie’s!!

I noticed that the Cold Steel 1917 Frontier Bowie has already been represented here on this thread. That said, I too like the design, (enough to have purchased three specimens for my collection). One is in the 1055 steel, while the other two are in 1085 steel.
I modified one of the 1085 specimens by removing the blued finish on it's blade, (leaving the bluing intact on the guard and tang). I used no power tools in achieving this. The areas I wanted untouched, simply got masked off with plastic and tape. Then, very carefully, I removed the bluing on the blade with some Naval Jelly. The brushed on sheen was done with some very fine sandpaper and a fine grade of Scotch pad.
There was nothing wrong with the original blued finish it had, and actually think the bluing goes great with this model. But, having two copies of the 1085 steel version, allowed me to try my hand at making the modification and achieving a different look. Actually, the result came out as I had hoped :)

Anyhow, this is what she looks like...
