Boyfriend's birthday coming up - looking for a heavy duty but small folder

I checked on ebay and there is a Spyderco Sage 2 just below your limit of $150.
This is a simple (reliable/easy to clean), light (titanium handle) framelock folder of very good quality, indeed coming close to the mighty Sebenza which has similar features. And it weighs only 3.50 ounces.

(edit) I now realise that the wonderful Sage comes only in plain edge.
Then indeed Manix 2 and Paramilitary 2 my be the better choice, they come with combo edges.

Kershaw Rogue. Right at $100 and it's an auto with a great blade. And Kershaw is made in the USA with a rockin warranty. BTW excellent serrations on this one!

When I was in the desert I carried my endura and I never had a problem with it, and I wasn't afraid to use it either. Shortly after returning I upgraded to a para which I absolutely loved. I replaced the clip with one of STR's lowrider clips. I carried that knife for over 2 years, then I convinced myself I needed a CSAR-T. A great knife but too heavy duty for everyday, andsince your bf has smaller hands this knife would not be comfortable. I am currently carrying a Manix 2 and I am loving it. I got mine for just under $100 shipped. I think this knife is a perfect compromise between size, durability and cost. You couldn't go wrong with any of these suggestions. Good Luck and welcome to forums. Don't let your boyfriend find this place or next time you will be spending more than $100.
