My savage is still downstairs awaiting new handles. I'm almost ready. I still don't know where my drill press is, but my drill guide should work.

Looking forward to finished product photos. Curious how well the drill guide will work. I purchased on for knife work but have not used it.
 
I think this one should work for the way I'm planning: drill the holes through the board, then cut out the handle around the holes, and saw the board in two. Put the outside sides inward and leave the sawcut sides on the outside to be sanded.

I see less room for error in this one than in the kind that you clamp your whole drill into.

Happy News... I showed my BPS to a mate up here in Sydney yesterday...He is a Canadian Uke..very impressed.."gotta get me one a those !"...I thought of giving him mine but hes off to Canada on ANZAC Day..for 6months....hopefully he orders one in Canada and tells all his mates/buddies.
 
Finally picked up my "Stand with Ukraine" knife from the post office today. It had arrived a while ago but i was out of town for work.
That knife is a beast, love it! Not that I will ever use it to its full potential, but it will be used with pride! Photos to come.

Decent knives,but i like moras better.I hope theres more flat grinds in future,if mora had flat grinds,im sure it would sell like crazy
 
I have a few Mora's too,and they are ok. But for me they are too much plastic and not enough full tang. Not that I would put them through their paces with my uses, I just like the reassuring feeling of a full tang knife. I also like to support Ukraine at this point 👍
 
There are DOZENS of Mora threads here in this sub-forum, and even more on BF as a whole. I don't know if there are threads on BPS knives elsewhere, but this is the only one in Traditional. Here's the most recently active Mora thread, if anyone wants to discuss them. I'd be happy to join in :thumbsup:
 
What do the initials BPS stand for?....I know its written somewhere but I chucked the packaging away...
