Brand preference by age group?

I'm 36 and I like alot of different knives. I own many folders, slipjoints, tactical, art knives, automatics and utility blades. I have few fixed blades and should buy a couple. I really enjoy having a knife with me that I can use and one that meets a personal minimum of style and quality. I look for ergonomics, toughness, details of construction and innovative designs.

Traditional knives such as slipjoints can be very beautiful and functional but I find I carry one handed tactical/utility knives 99% of the time. Usually they are knives of my own making but lately I have acquired a Strider AR and that's all I want to carry and use. Big can be good but small can be sweet. I also really enjoy my Umfaan.

Hi ladies/gents. I'm 53 and probably have more CRKT things than anything else, simply because I like Crawford folders and some of their other custom maker designed wares. I'm not a rich middle-aged person/oldster. It's fun to be able to buy these designs for an affordable amount. Hail to CRKT, especially for the Kasper Professional. My latest thrill, of course, is Maxx 5.5. Hail to Camillus and Ralph. :D :D

At the age of 34, my favourite everyday knives are a Spyderco Endura and a Buck 110. One kinda old one kinda new, both tough as hell.

I'm 28 at the moment, and Love and carry my MT LCC almost daily. I also prefer the Benchmade Axis lock knives, but the more "pretty" ones, like the 940. I also carry a couple of liner-lock BMs like the 690, and I want an 850. Spyderco knives are great, while I don't actually own one at the moment, (really want a Native, though). I think I could be happy with almost any MicroTech, but that is about as tactical as I get. I really tend to desire the fancier "pretty" knives, and William Henry knives just turn me on. I have a decorated Sebenza on the way, and I'll have to let you know about that.

I just turned 35 and found that my knife collecting is mainly oriented towards tactical folders or "offensive" blade styles, like spear points, bayonets, doubled-edged daggers etc. Self preservation is a key issue in my knife collection.
But I also like pretty knives, like mother-of-pearl slipjoints.
I have a Bear MGC Razor Style Blade with mother-of-pearl handle, and I will most likely buy more of those. I have nothing against slipjoints in general, and have several on order. The stockman pattern is my favourite.
Since I'm single with two cats, I can spend a great deal on my favourite subjects - knives and batons. Anything that you can cut with or knock on someone's head suits my style! :p

I'll be twenty until October. Been seriously into knives for a little over a year now, and my favorite maker has been Benchmade. I'm a big balisong fan so I'll probably stick with them for a while. :)
