Brands comparable to busse

Great pictures and nice M9 Cobalt!:cool:

All I have to say is this:

That could be pretty epic... ;):D:thumbup:

No doubt and Busse would use it. I can tell you that steel is not 3V. ;)

Across the board performance? Yeah, I can't say that it's 3V either based on using blades in that steel...

I've really enjoyed Scrapyard's SR77 (S7) based on it's overall performance. So tough. Much strong. It's my winter beater; carried in David Brown kydex. Mine is also reground into a full convex bevel grind that was once upon a time mirror polished. Chopping beast for a 7" blade.

SR77 is certainly a contender as is diff HT SR101, which may actually be the toughest due to it's HT. Who knows.

That would be neat to see a side by side with similar sized knives in both steels; again I don't have my chopwieler anymore or I would at least try to complete some sort of test to be able to compare the two...

I really miss this blade. :(

Is a .25 in thick piece of infi tougher than .25 in thick 3v? I'm willing to bet you can't prove either way which is tougher. But ill bet 3v has better edge retention. Lol and throw z wear in the mix for the heck of it.

Calm down I'm just messing around, I don't really care either way. All good steels, I wish people would appreciate all steels instead of thinking one is better than the rest without any true comparison... come on people spread the steel love lol

You must not use your knives much if you can't prove one is tougher than the other. ;)

You can change your settings to show 40 post per page, Rolf.
That's why Cobalt, and may others including me, is on page 15.

I didn't know if you knew you could change it, and just wanted to let you know in case you did want to change yours. Take care.
