Brass is back on the menu... GEC #44

I eventually talked myself out of buying one of these. I sure am enjoying seeing all the pictures though. This is a really attractive pattern.

Thanks for letting me reserve one of these beauties Barry and this one is stellar to say the least ! ! I think this is the most beautiful cocobolo I’ve ever owned or seen .

So far I'm resisting the cocobolo 44s. But, I'm so tempted to pick one up and squirrel it away. I can just see these becoming very collectible in the future.

Exactly my thoughts but it’s so nice I’m fighting the temptation to carry it but man it’s hard and it’s only been one night lol .
The fit and finish a long with walk and talk is really good on this run of cocobolo or at least mine is :)
For now she’s in the safe .... until I can’t resist any more . Wish I would of bought 2 now to have one for carry and one to save .
 
This is a classic dilemma that can only be resolved within one's own means :) When I first saw the promo graphic for the 44s I immediately knew I was getting a Cocobolo with the sole intention of keeping it mint. Picking up an ebony version was an afterthought and I didn't even think I was going to like carrying this pattern but ended up loving it. I get my Cocobolo today it will be real hard not to carry it but at least I have the other to tide me over. Picking up a second one for a safe queen isn't the worst idea.

On a side note, I really liked the skull & flag hank and would love to see more pics along with your knives! :D :thumbsup: :thumbsup:

Thanks! I had that one custom made it turned out even better than I hoped...will def see more of it in future pics :)
 
I really like that button! I am picturing it on the knife as a shield - would look good I think.
 
My cocobolo arrived as well. Absolutely beautiful but it will be a safe queen due to how nice it is.

The funny thing is I actually think I like my ebony a little better.

I had a Ebony and it was really nice :thumbsup:
But with that being said My cocobolo is my hands down winner !
I think it won by a 44 pin and matches nicely lol :D
Edit: Even the pins are nestled in so nicely and even on both sides on the cocobolo.
 
Waiting impatiently for my cocobolo and looking forward my knife cutting, my blades patina-ing, my wood darkening, and my brass tarnishing. Hey look, parallel structure! I guess my public school education accounted for something!

So the only Dilemma will be which one will be the safe queen lol . The first one I got from Gunstock Jack will be hard to beat though . This 44 pattern in cocobolo just puts me in a trance when I pull it out of the tube . Gec knocked it Out of the Park with this one !! What a beautiful well made traditional.

This is what my "problem" is. Wanting to buy 2 for the same reason. Ugh, lol.
