I love my NorthStar, don't get me wrong. But, this new Bravo 1 is amazing. For one, the handle is much more ergonomically shaped than my NorthStar. Two, the blade has a lot more curve to it (much better for snap cuts IMO). Three, it matches my BRKT PSK.

fine looking new knife...

what is that pin/tube material on the PSK? looks like aluminum, but i curious...

nice little collection of bark rivers you have going there...

I have a Northstar too and I really like the blade shape, but the butt end is too thick for my grip. I don't know if the thought is to grip on the end to allow for chopping? I also have a Bravo 1 on order. I don't like the blade shape as well but being thicker and a little wider thought it may take alot of abuse. We'll see.

You'd have to ask Mike Stewart for sure, but I'm pretty certain that the pins are steel. A lot of pocket lint collects in the hollow pins cuz the PSK is my edc. I have an OMF somewhere... if I can find it, I'll get the whole family together for a photo.

thats a keeper!

i still need to get me one of those bravo-1's.... they look great...:o i love the scales on your northstar...

I, too, just got a Bravo1. Without exaggeration, I believe my search is over! Fits my hand like it was made for it, more than sturdy and cuts like there's no tomorrow.

The only problem is that I may have to buy another one. :(

I was wondering how you liked the Bravo Doc, I'm happy to see you like it.
I have a couple of Barky's and I love the way the cut, gonna have to eventually check out the Bravo one of these days.

Hey Tony,
Like it? That would be an understatement, and I wasn't kidding about maybe getting another. And apparently there are some variations on the way - size difference, stainless steel, etc. Going to be interesting.

macgregor22 - that is an interesting little folder. Do you know what the steel is, or did I miss it?

They actually are quite large.

I believe the steel is a 420hc, although it should be fine on that knife.

Congrats on the Bravo-1. I've been wanting one for a very long time and will most likely order it in the ghost green jade w/ black liners configuration, but I'm going to wait for the shorter and longer version to come out first. The stainless one doesn't really interest me, but bark river's HT is pretty amazing.

I like the 1st production PSK, the hollow pins and flat blaze orange g-10 scales look great.

Mike is right about the NS, the wood scales look awesome.

That looks good. Theres just something about orange.

I got rid of the thumb ramp on mine and it was a big improvement.

I have a B1 and like it a lot. I only have one complaint about it.... the handle, while nicely shaped and big enough for real use, is way too smooth and slick! This is actually a complaint I have about most of my BR knives. I love the blades, but the handles, while pretty, are too slick for me.

I guess I'll just have to clamp it up and take to it with some rough grit sandpaper.....

That B1 ROX! > Fiddleback, can you post a pic of your Bravo1?

This, unfortunately, is the best pic I have of it right now...

Its to the right of the hammer next to the red handled mora.
