We are struggling to keep the price low and are shooting for a price of $297.00. I would expect that 5-7 years from now, (probably much sooner), these blades will bring between $800.00-$900.00 due to their rarity. I doubt anybody will want to sell theirs after they have used it!
We will accept orders for 1 week on these and then will make them as ordered. Ordering will not necessarily guarantee that you will get one of these blades. Here's why: If, for example, we receive 500 orders, we will make an additional 5% or 15 knives for a total of 525, and expect to lose a minimum of 15 to set-up, and other manufacturing maladies. If, however, we lose more than that and only yield 60% of what we set out to make, then only the first 60% (300 of the 500) of those who ordered will get in on this blade.
The "NICKs" will be serial numbered according to the order in which the orders are received.
Should be fun!
You are going to give us hogs a heads up in plenty of time to clear our calendars for the release aren't you Jerry? Hell, you could get 300 orders in a matter of hours.
