Here's why: If, for example, we receive 500 orders, we will make an additional 5% or 15 knives for a total of 525, and expect to lose a minimum of 15 to set-up, and other manufacturing maladies. If, however, we lose more than that and only yield 60% of what we set out to make, then only the first 60% (300 of the 500) of those who ordered will get in on this blade.

The "NICKs" will be serial numbered according to the order in which the orders are received.

You are going to give us hogs a heads up in plenty of time to clear our calendars for the release aren't you Jerry? Hell, you could get 300 orders in a matter of hours.
