An Off Duty, a MOAB or whatever 3/8 you have laying around just mere feet from you if I recall from an earlier post. :D :D :D :D

I think we would get considerably less flex with .125" (1/8") stock and still maintain all of the advantages of the one sided grind.

The edge is arced and rocks like my gramma's old porch rocker!

Sounds good Jerry. It is the thickness at the edge and the area behind it that matters anyway right?

Hey Eric, since you are sharing your variants, I'll take either the BGB or the Trickster. :D

HIT THE BREAKS!!!!! What the heck? Trickster fine, but can we please stay HANDS OFF the BGB? ;) :D

Then the design sounds perfect to me! And I'm no chef....might have to talk to bakerj...seems hes the closest we have around here!:)

Hell no! The BGB it is, either that or Nemmy is going to cough up his MOAB. :D

Here he goes again, trying to focus on his work rather than what is important, getting DN's Off Duty from him.

What would be really cool is a folding cook's knife kind of like the Honcho in the AG Russel catalog.

As to the collectability of these blades, I have little doubt that the Combat Carrot Cutter will go down as one of the most collectable Busse Knives of all time. We will only do a ONE-TIME run and I would imagine that these will dramatically increase in value over the next few years.

We are struggling to keep the price low and are shooting for a price of $297.00. I would expect that 5-7 years from now, these blades could easily triple in value and could bring between $800.00-$900.00 due to their rarity. I doubt anybody will want to sell theirs after they have used it! ;)

We will accept orders for 1 week on these and then will make them as ordered. Ordering will not necessarily guarantee that you will get one of these blades. Here's why: If, for example, we receive 500 orders, we will make an additional 5% or 15 knives for a total of 525, and expect to lose a minimum of 15 to set-up, and other manufacturing maladies. If, however, we lose more than that and only yield 60% of what we set out to make, then only the first 60% (300 of the 500) of those who ordered will get in on this blade.

The "NICKs" will be serial numbered according to the order in which the orders are received.

Should be fun!
