Bret Dowell Knives

Peter

I am hoping if I buy ALOT of Dowells, that it may cure my disease. Kind of like taking a bunch of Vitamin C when you have a cold!!!

No very logical, but I think I will give it a try.

It doesn't work.. But it sure is fun trying. lol.

We'll keep our fingers crossed - show us the results anyway, please :D

Got my Dowells (except one) together for a family reunion. The non participant is in Ireland, while the reunion took place in Canada. I have said it before, Bret makes a 1st class knife. IMO what he makes is worth ALOT more than what he charges. If you have any interest in his knives, get on his order list.IMG_9725.jpgIMG_9726.jpg

Rod - what an impressive line-up you have got there!
Missing the reunion I think the "non-participant" probably doesn't feel too lonely because it gets all the attention once you're back in Ireland :)

that bottom knife is even better in person, or it was to me anyways

that bottom knife is a honey ... thanks for pointing it out ... and thanks to my friend Greg for storming Bret's table first thing @ Blade 2012 ... it now resides back in the Sooner State, my first Dowell, and won't be my last. deserves more pics.

John, congratulations. Looks like your collection is quickly catching up. We need some coffee conversation knife sharing time. And soon. Charles

Man, I love that knife. I'm a bit partial to drop points and Bret's work amazing. What is the closed length on that little stag trapper?

3 1/8" oal, 2 3/8" blade, thin / hollow ground is very sharp. The action on it is perfect, snappy but not hard to open.

My collection will never catch up with yours! Am running low on beans so I need another Java Daves "show and tell", let me know when it's good for you. Have a print to give you of the July 4 parade pic.

Charles, i wanna see your collection too ! But, it's rather a long drive. Oh well i do have about 100 top notch knives that used to be yours. Based on these, what you still have must be most impressive.

Been awhile since I posted anything. Thought I'd throw this one up. Hope you guys like it. Kinda curious how this one holds up. Its cpm-d2. Never used it but had a chance to do a little testing and was impressed. I'll get some feed back from the new owner in a month or so.

Looks good Bret! I'm sure it will hold up great! All of your
knives work perfect...

Here's one Bret made me and it's a dandy... Stag Sowbelly Trapper. It has
a clip and a semi-skinner. Belt finish on blades and hardware. Excellent finish
Stag is perfect...imho.

Good looking knife.

I've got a few knives in CPM-D2 and I like it a lot.
