Bret Dowell Knives

I had Bret make me a Lanny's Clip not long ago, and stupid me, while trying to take some photo's, I dropped the knife on a concrete basement floor and part of the jigged bone scales cracked as it should have. I called Bret, sick to my stomach, and asked if he could repair/rebuild the original work of art and he graciously said he would. Here are some pics of what I received today.

My favorite pattern, beautifully crafted by a typically generous knife maker. I have found one of the best things about collecting

knives are the terrific people that populate this community, weather they be collectives or really use these beautiful objects, they are true Americans!

Gorgeous bone and jigging! Bret is truly an artist and great guy. Can't wait for my name to come up on his list.

Deep hollow grinds combined with A2 make wicked sharp edges.

Love the contrasting A2 springs.

No pins visible ... even under the scrutiny of my Macro lens.

Brett, thanks for the great multiblade slipjoint.

I've held this one and can attest it is a wonder. The ivory set off with the etched blades, outstanding!

Hi, just want to share this great knife that Bret made for me. It has seen some real use and is perfect for small deers. The knife is 4" with black micarta and has a drop point blade in cpm 154.
