The Lanny's Clip is pregnant and should be delivering sometime soon. I took it for a sonogram and it appears to be flawless !!!!! :D After seeing some of Brett's Ivory (Monmouth or Goat Horn (code for Pachyderms) I'm really tempted to have him make me something out of that material. I just know that eventually they will likely develop a crack of some sort and it would make me sick on a work of art Bret Dowell or Rick Menefee.

I am not really a Damascus fan, but seeing that knife I might change my mind. Congratulations on a great looking knife!

Funny you say that cause I wasn't a fan of Damascus either. For some reason, I came across some knives with this Swedish made Damascus and it started to grow on me. Did some reading up on the stuff and found out that it wasn't just a pretty face so to speak. The fact that it was all stainless was a plus for me and that it was made by using powdered technology ( I guess perhaps similar to Crucibles CPM's) and I decided to give it a whirl. Bret told me that this stuff took quite a while to etch ( about 20 minutes) which from what I have been reading lately is a long time. I'm no metallurgist but all this sounded good to me cause I wanted something that was good looking and tough too. Stuff's not cheap by any means, but I'm not a guy that has a ton of knives so I said, ah what the heck...

Nice wood and a nice pattern on that Damascus. I've got a couple in Damasteel also and I really like it. Brett makes a nice knife!

Thanks Gary. When I got the itch for Damascus I looked at LOTS of pics of knives, both fixed blade and folders, with Damascus blades and then our forum friend said something to me about Swedish Damascus steels which led me to this Damasteel stuff. It was the look (patterns) and that it was powdered SS that made me go with this stuff.

Just got these pics from Bret. This is Roy's "RF Hunter" pattern with Westinghouse Micarta, tapered tang and red liners.

This knife may have already been posted, but I wanted to share my first custom.
I received a second user custom today as well, but had to share this one first.
I had no idea knives were made this well. Just absolutely perfect.
For me, it will not be an EDC, but will certainly be carried. Sorry for the poor pics. :)

A thank you to Ranchmanben for selling me this beauty. And, to receive it on my daughter's birthday made it all the more special imo.
