Great looking knife. I really like the micarta.

Your photography is excellent.

Mosseri

Could you tell me what the copper colored "peanut shaped" object is?

Mailcall Monday: Just got this Brett Dowell Barlow in today. Black paper micarta bolsters, rag micarta scales, and ATS34 for the blade. Super nice size at 3 5/8th's with Brett's typical excellent fit and finish.

- is it me, I mean, Bret's knives I've always admired and fancied, but in the last year or so they seem to have stepped up a notch or three more on the f&f scale - brilliant!

And those last two from mosseri and dbla are utter stunners - congrats, gents

My Dowell family to date chaperoned by a lovely fixed from Bret as well...

Is that Ironwood at the fixed blade? You have an impressive family of Bret's knives.

That is a beauty. Is it 3 5/8th? Vince had it listed at 3 3/8th. The band on the watch is cool too!

It's somewhere between those two. I might have been mistaken. It's a great size either way.

Was a beautiful sunny day out here in Mass. Took the bike out for a quick jet around. The bike was filthy but the knife companion was clean.

Going hiking today while the good weather is here. Taking the trapper with me. It's cool to see the subtle change in patina over time.

Edited to add that the spring isn't protruding in the second pic, it's just a reflection that I didn't notice till after I posted lol.

Have a good time out on the hike bud! Always like seeing how carbon blades will patina where the spine is exposed.

So, no more pics of knives with bikes for me.......

.........until the new one arrives :D
