Bring back 710!

Yep, I was pulling the trigger on the KW’s 710 but they had just sold out at the time. I wish I had a brand new one put back in the safe before they sold out.

Would be SWEET if they made another batch of 710-3's, the crowned spine puts it over the top for me, its my nicest folder. Nevermind the GREAT CPM-M4.
It was my first axis lock knife, I got lucky finding it last year for 200CAD shipped!

Would it be bad manners to grind of thr serrations on a NIB 710 m2hs?
Ewww. I didn’t even remember that version. Grind em out, give it a MOAR BETTA recurve. :D

[And I speak as the official spokesman, treasurer, CEO, admin and PR for the Official UK Bring Back the 710 Association]

I have the chance to buy a m2hs, NIB but I do not care for serrations. I bought a plane edge 154cm of the same person, and it is a joy.

Do I get a 710s m2hs and learn to live or grind of the serrations on a cool rare knife, or do I cough up another 60 dollars to get a Knifeoworks m390 plain blade? These are hard questions.

Like the AFCK the 710 (and 707) are some knives that I wish Benchmade never discontinued.

I really agree about the AFCK.
I once met I guy to buy his Swamp rat Rat Mastiff. He had an 806 I think, with the hole, axis and cpm m4. It was great, he said he would never sell

Nested liners on a 710 sounds great. I have ordered some cheap titanium 2mm plates, thinking of making either nested liners, milled out linerers or just swiss cheesing a pair of the originals.

This thread seems to be resurrected.
I should really like the 710 but for some unexplained reason, it never appealed to me. And I've owned a few. Then I put on some (walrus) ivory scales and I really dig it now. M390 in the one below.

After staring at an old new stock D2 710 at my local shop for 3 years, I finally broke down and bought it to go with my KW M390 710. I think I like the stock scales even more.

I would be happy with a new model in S35VN and micarta scales.

I am trying to get hold of a KW M390. I had overlooked the 710 so long, then finally I saw it. I think it might be the best Benchmade.
Would not S35VN be a down grade to M390? It might be some find the M390 to chippy, but it seems excellent

My trusty 710 in 154cm is still my favorite knife after several years. It has far and away more pocket time than any other knife I own. I traded it to a buddy once, and quickly traded him back for it after realizing what a stupid thing I did. It may not be the highest tech, super steeliest thing out there, but it fits, looks, and works great.

Okay, so Benchmade are replying to some posts...

Ahem.

BRING BACK THE 710! PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE!
