The D2 710 was my first good knife and probably my most carried ever. I missed out on the M390 variant unfortunately. So I would be all over an M390, 20cv or 204p 710 if they were made again.

Do companies produce sprint runs of discontinued knives? That is actually what I was asking for with the original post in this thread.
But not the 710. Ahem. Both Benchmade and Spyderco do.
I know, it’s a fair point. I’m being disingenuous, admittedly. I love BM knives, love the Crooked River and the 581, to name but two. However, in a perfect world there would be a plain Jane 710 option like the old D2 version. Available as a base model. But we don’t live in a perfect world so please take my imprecations in the affectionate way they are intended. BM is a fab company and they really went the extra mile for me on one occasion. I’m a very loyal customer.I believe 710 was discontinued because it no longer sold well. PM2 has been among the best selling spydercos so I guess it will continue.

Lets say satin M390 or 20cv/204p steel, titanium liners, carbon fiber scales, and retail price @ $240. Will that happen? Will people like that to happen?
