would love to see a thin shba, however i do agree with randucci about preserving the past, i highly respect knife collecting, be them in a safe or on the trail.

i do try to follow the practice of purchasing a knife that i like that way i will never get burned on a purchase, if i am looking to trade it or resale it.

however you do not have that problem with a busse, but the economy can do strange things to collectables as we all have witnessed

My first SHBA is an Infi, I belive sub .220....I will 2x check it later maybe even .197 or such...it is retardedly thinner than my A2 fatties...which I love more.

It may have already come up, but the ASH1 didn't ruin the value of original Steel
Heart 1s.

that being said, i would love to see a remake. The handle looks very comfortable.

Bring it back, but at .20 or slightly thinner.

I miss my original A2 SHBA and BAIII which I was forced to sell off due to money problems.:(

Well...if you don't love it, send it my way. Or I could take that Desert Jack. ;)

Any old straight-handled, non-ergo Badger brought back with tweaking would be nice.

That looks sweet what is the BA in the acronym. This looks like a very useful knife. It took me a long time to get into the Busse family because I dont really need the massive beasts that most of these blades are.

SHBA = Straight Handle Badger Attack.

:D

As long as we're dreaming: a 3/16", full convex, DCBB blade with either no choil or a usable choil and hand-shaped micarta slabs with solid bolts. I'll take 3.

That sounds really good. Except I'll take one in satin.

Well, I'd have to agree with collectors on this one.

Plus why bring up the past? I'm sure Jerry will come up with another genius design for a knife and all of us will be happy. It will probably be more functional then the originals. And more people will buy it. Let older knifes remain rare, as for similar knives in purpose I don't see why not.

BM, FSH, SFNO, Meaners, AD's, Wardens... all had a start at a point in time and have returned. The SHBA, with a full size handle and shorter blade seems to be the only Busse of it's kind. Bring it back thinner and satin!
I see no downside/monetary loss for collectors if they are hanging onto them. You can't make money if you don't plan on ever selling them. It seems they hold onto them purely because of the excellent design.
Bring it back for the rest of us to use and enjoy.
