Bring back the SHBA ! (Thin Please)

I know a lot of the collectors love the old school blades....However, i know that many newcomers would love to get ahold of some of these great designs Jerry created. Putting these older style designs as a release would only help provide great tools to those who love to use them. Keep in mind, that the old SH blades will always hold their value despite new releases in our society. True collectors will always be willing to drop some dough on the history of Busse and the fantastic blades he (Jerry) has released. JMHO

Realistically, what can a SHBA do that a Scrapper 5 cannot? Although I would love to own one I would rather envy other people's collection then have the same design re-released and have the design lose its specialness. If I think that is the 'perfect' design or want it enough I should be willing to pay for it at whatever its current value is.

To borrow the 68' z28 example. A modern WRX likely will kill it in just about any performance criteria one can measure. Keep that design in its historical place, let progress take its place, and let those who truly value the design go through the effort and cost of finding it and allow it to be special.

We want a thinner one and they were never offered that way.

Bring it back thinner! SHBA LE 1/300

Yes!! Satin finish, handshaped micarta handles with smooth bolts, semi-nuclear meltdown treatment like the BOSS Street, usable or no choil and about .15 to .17" thick. Now that would be sweet.

I'll 2nd this.
If I want a thin SHBA I could easily send one in to Garth for some grinding.
Besides that most original INFI SHBA's measure .230 with coating so .220 without is what they already are.

I wouldn't be so sure about that. I don't think Garth is keen on running hardened IFI though a surface ginder to make the knife skinnier.

A INFI Badger attack with solid bolts in the old style ie. new handle material and blade colors... AND a Steel Heart II Anniversary model likewise. I believe the old school grips were not near as wide as the newer knives. But I love the ASH1 now we need an ASHII! bring em on! but unlike many of my HOG cohorts, I like the old .25 thick blades

Not sure what the Scrapper5 has to do with it. But while you mention it, it is a well liked blade, enough that the S5LE was introduced.

Still waiting on a SHBA LE.

Ask and you shall receive right?

INFI to the masses!

Maybe now that the custom shop is moving in a new direction, we may see a SHBA LE?

Thin please :)
