I just saw Michael at New Graham post that he got some Brown ParaMilitary 2s with the S35VN steel in. :thumbup:
 
interesting. The camo Para2's are listed as 3 3/32" and the Brown are listed as 3 3/8" blade length. Typo?
 
I went there. Had one in my cart and was at the payment option when it suddenly said they were out of stock :(. I wasn't fast enough.
 
Don't worry. I have one on pre-order from another vendor. Everyone remain calm.
 
I wish it were a different steel. I passed on this one because of how similar S35VN is to S30V. I really like the color though.
 
i only got one of these as opposed to 2 like the other sprints. if they hang around ill probably get a second.
 
I'll probably end up passing due to steel similarity to the regular, but extra $40 price bump, and brown g10 isn't that interesting to me personally. Although it will be the only 1 of the the 6 total sprints out/coming out that I won't have, so that might convince me.

I certainly will pass it for the same reasons. I have CF. Orange and Green will keep me happy.
 
i get wanting this due to the brown. the steel i don't get, not really better than s30v. had the steel been elmax, m390, etc...... something more interesting than the standard steel used for a stock para 2 i would have grabbed one myself. in this case, since sypderco seems to be on a massive para 2 sprint/special model momentum run...i'll wait for better options. too each their own though.
 
I already have one on order at another place, but when I noticed that low price I called.

Said they only got 3 knives in this week, and she also said they are not sure if they will get more. Not sure why that thread was made in the dealer section if they only had three???

I have all of the Para's on order, and I think I'll like this one alot. I really like the color, and the steel is plenty good enough for me. If it hold's an edge as good as S30V, but is even more easy to sharpen I think I'll like it. Should be a bit tougher than S30V as well.
I already have one user PARA2, and will only add one more to my rotation. Not really sure which it will be, but I'll more than likely just go with the one that is the smoothest.

Gotta love ebay - "This is a limited quantity exclusive knife created for Moteng. Awesome CPM-S35VN stainless steel full flat grind in plain edge. CPM-S35VN is a very elaborate steel by Crucible Inc.

Never heard of this Moteng place so I went to their site. Couldn't find anything about this knife on there.

According to spyderco.com ( http://www.spyderco.com/exclusives/ ) the brown P2 in S35V was made as an exclusive for the distributor Moteng and is available thru their dealers.
 
Hmmm.... guess I stand corrected. From that statement it sounded like it was ONLY sold through Moteng.
