On another note, I'm a fan of solid g10. I had an ash1 that had olive g10 and a ratmandu blade profile. I believe it was .20 thick after stripping. That thing was cool.

 
G10 is very tough and it is harder than micarta, and it might be lighter. But canvas and linen micarta are the toughest handle material I know of.

I could be wrong but I was always believed that G10 was tougher and that it doesn't absorb chemicals making it a superior handle for harsh conditions. That said, I think micarta is extremely durable, that it "feels" warmer, and that it provides better "traction" for a more solid grip.

I have Busse knives with both. Though I was always a G10 fan I've come to like the micarta more because of the quality materials Busse knives uses on their knives.
Now it takes an extra day at the keyboard to place an order, decisions, decisions 😊
 
I am pretty sure that none of them absorb chemicals, tests where done years ago to prove that. I am also pretty sure that all were tested and linen and canvas micarta were the toughest.
 
I vote bring back the Green Linen and as long as I'm in a wishing mood somebody please please reconstruct the Snakeskin....:cool:

Nah, I don't think so. Many retailers already put things like, "prices to low to advertise" and you must add to cart to see the price. I figure they will be doing that with spyderco.

Hey, check out my new Rambo knife. It came more blunt than a river rock. It took me roughly 4 hours to put a sharp working edge on it. It is a beast for how cheap it is. Supposedly forged in China. Most likely the forging is the hot rollers from the reducing mills we sold the chinese 30 years ago. But it is a fun piece. It is along side the RTAK made of 5160.
