BS' ing anything and everything Busse!

So. Today in my infinite wisdom, I decided to strip a blade. I didn't have any of my go to citristrip, so I used a less...... Ehhhhmmmmm...... "Safe for the surroundings" product.

Lord. That crap ate through the top layer of my bathroom sink. It had a chance to eat away the finish leaving a very white, rough spot(s) about 8" x12" before I realized what was going on.

Anyone here know about finishing a portion of bathroom sink? I don't have the knowledge or tools to change it outright, so least expensive and least complicated is right up my alley.

Pm me with suggestions if you please.

Slow week-end on the Busse Forum. Not enough of all the new knives landing in new homes me thinks.

Pics or it didn't happen :)

You are right, so here it is, second one down from top of course:

It feels good in the hand for sure. The scales have just enough grip on them.

Nice! Is that a clip point RD9?

It is actually one of the first 240 Busse apprentice blanks that Justin Gingrich got from Jerry. He then finished them and sold them. This one was just to nice to pass up with satin polish finish and beautiful micarta handles. Even though I am no fan of clip points, this is the nicest apprentice blade I have seen. Of course that has a lot to do with Justin.

Yeah I've read about those,, seem pretty rare,, and I've definitely never seen a clip point on one.
Very cool

It is very fast in the hand despite being 1/4". The handle has the typical straight handle feel without the talons. Not many clip points were made. Also most were coated.
