I've been watching this...It shows 16 bids today...So I thought I'd take a look and see who here is bidding... :D

16 bids...all "private listing - bidders' identities protected"... :grumpy:

OK...It's at $64 to that "Private Listing"...

Either a "shill" to poke the price up...or a "buddy" helping out is my guess...

Let's see what happens, shall we??? :rolleyes: I wonder if it will be retracted..."Incorrect information posted"...
 
I've purchased several things from him(last year) and he seemed to be a vendor that was upstanding and honest...cared about what he sold and if I was satisfied. Maybe all the bids are "protected":confused: . Preston
 
i dont personaly know the seller...
i can tell you i have bid on some of his stuff.
he answers email quickly.
i have never won one of his listings
if the transation had any thing other then the cheep looking plastic in the handle i would already have one but
i have this thing about plastic in the handle...
this is the first time i have seen privet listing on his...
i my self have used privet listing at times
my gut feeling is if the price is not overly high oh well ....
i have found there is an avantagte at times to a privet listing...
there disavantages also...
i have no issue with it either way as if i want it i bid ...
yea, i cut him some slack i guess as i am such a cheep bid any way
and an even cheeper date...
 
I shoulda bought one for $90.00 when I had the chance...
Looks like most of that sellers auctions are private bidders.
maybe he checked out the EBAY list on BF?????
 
He's a great seller! I have bought several from him!
Fast replies, FAST shipping and well packaged.
I havent made any purchases since they became private lately.
He probably knows that alot of guys wont outbid others they know or have dealt with in the past. I try not to.

i totally agree i too have purchased from him in the past and been pleased , but now with the private listings i will not bid at all rather than just when someone i know is bidding , so in my particular case the private thing has backfired but thats alright as i am sure most of you guys need the knives more than me:D

well i had to go have a look at the offending plastic insert knife and i would agree it is plastic what surprised me though is that the insert has the states california and idaho in it , i thought it was chucks picture
so there must be a 110 with a picture of chuck inset do any of you have or know for sure ?

...LOL...In all seriousness...I guess it's okay for him to go "private" but I agree with you buckman#10...I don't bid against a member (unless it's a mistake) and I will not bid when all I see is "private bidders"...Just a thing my warped personality has as a habit...:) :)

I think the california to post falls inset is neat! Dont care if its plastic...

a little bit of warped is alright :) for me the no bidding on the private ones is that it could be a friend or a fantasy bidder it would be nice to know same as feedback , if it is private i wont bid
i have thought of one legitimate reason for private bidders though
its for all of you buck collectors that are married so its for your own protection really :D
