Buck 110/112 Transition Folding Hunter NIB

...We should definitely keep this option open as a tactic if we see something else of interest in the future. A bit more notice would be better... a bunch of us could exchange emails if you wanted to do it that way too...

Oh, now I understand what "pappykacks" is doing...He's keeping the bidders private...

DarrylS is right; those big time Buck sellers are watching this Forum...He's seen the posts about not bidding against each other...

So he hides the bidders...

...Those guys ain't dumb...They know the forum exists and they play us like a fiddle at times...and I hate fiddle music today...:grumpy:

Agreed. I'll add "Buck+Transition" to my eBay "Search" list and wait and see what comes up...

...How 'bout this??...I'll send ya $10 via PayPal and a buncha other guys who are lookin' in also send ya $10 and we do this in the next 2 1/2 hours. Place a bid up to what you get sent to ya and if you win it... Put all the names in a hat , draw a name and the winner gets the knife...and that's , that...:D ...whatya think???...   :p

Just got an email response from Cougar Allen on this...(as far as it being connected with this forum)...

"That sounds like a bidding ring, which is generally against auction rules and against the law most places, so you'd be getting into yourself into trouble with more people than us..."

In other words, not on this site... :(

yea i didnt think they would like that
a bidding ring i have never heard of before
here (canada) we have various pools at the local for hockey football baseball etc. you pay a few bucks for a sqare on a board and at the end the winner gets the pot while technically it is gambling it is such small time i dont think anyone cares (except the government of course they always want their pound of flesh)

...Glad we didn't go any further with this...I'd HATE to be an "OUTLAW" ...Where did that knife end up anyway??...

...That's what I hate about private auctions...No one to "root" fer...LOL...
...wish I didn't hold grudges...pappykacks is now on my "poo poo" list...

I just don't like the idea of hiding the bidders...for all we know, pappykacks and his wife are the only bidders...pushing the price up... :grumpy:

$102.50 was the winning bid.

I'm not bidding on the Bay...but if'n i were I wouldn't like it either. I understand the pros & cons but think it lends itself to much to the unprincipled side:( . Preston
