Buck 110 Rules!

I carries a 110 in the Gulf while in the Marines. Don't know what happened to it when I got stateside. Wish I still had it!

Tok, the belt loop is not detachable but you can purchase Malice clips which would allow it to be detachable and secured to almost anything, I think a pair is about $4.

Primarily slip joints and fixed blades were used, there may have been some lock backs out but I've never seen any that old. One of the more traditional may have an answer for you though.
 
Thanks, dude! Like the quality material of the sheath too. Definitely better fit than the 5 inches. Looks like it fits the 110 nice and snug inside!
 
My understanding is this wasnt the 'first' lock back. Buck's intent was to make a knife that was a little more portable. It was originally made for hunters to use a couple weeks a year. It then became so popular that they redesigned it to be stronger for EDC.
 
Well, I'd have to agree that the standard Buck 110 is a decent knife for the money. I've seen too many of them break to have complete faith in them, and I never liked all the extra weight from the huge brass bolsters. For a handle that heavy, it feels like it should have a 10" blade.

Now, having said that, I do own one. I've got one with the Damascus blade, nickel bolsters, and stag handle scales. I tried selling it a while back since I need cash, but no one wanted to pay me more than like $85. Heck, it's about $145 on their site. So, it doesn't bother me to keep it a while longer. ;)
