Buck 110

Did they ever not come with a leather sheath at Walmart?
I think I've bought 3 from Walmart as gifted and all had leather sheaths.

Someone was speculating that the price difference for Buck 110s at Waldemart was due to the lower price have a nylon sheath.

On a related note, the Buck 110 LT at Waldemart does come with a nylon sheath.

Yes, I've gifted 3 LT's too and they have the polyester sheath.

The 110's were all $36 and came with the leather sheath, mine came from a sporting goods store ,it was $38 with the leather sheath.

I can't imagine the leather sheath causing an increase to $60 anyway , even if they had been polyester recently.

after reading this thread i decided to stop by the walmart on my way to work. they had the ebony 110 with mexican leather sheath for $34.71. 2021 date stamp. i cherry picked the best looking handle in the clam packs. they had 7 total so i went through them all

Stopped by the Walmart near my hunting club in eastern NC this past Sunday evening to buy some Tink's #69. The Tink's was in the hunting department right next to the knife display case - the Buck 110 Folding Hunter was priced at $60.00! Guess they are varying the price now from location to location. OH
Oh well. I guess I don't need another 110.
7 (3 are LT's) should be enough to last the rest of the time I have left.

Hmm. Seven just doesn't seem right. I think you need at least an even 10. Or 12 for a dozen, or 20 for a score. Or 25 for a quarter of a century.

I wonder if the change in price has anything to due with hunting season being upon us. At our local wally the 110 is now twelve dollars higher than a 119. So I purchased two 110s online at the lower price. All a bit odd.

I give warning to the man considering if he has "enough" 110s. About two years ago I had ten 110s and thought I would never need another. Then I thought I would buy a couple more. Today I have quintupled the number in my collection (not counting Slims, LTs, etc) and continue to buy them frequently.

OK ... OK ... If I could find a 1969 to 1974 110 like I had in Junior and Senior Highschool, in good condition, that hasn't been sharpened to a toothpick, or suffered a busted tip, for less than half the cost a new one, and I had the funds for it, I'd probably buy it ... provided a debt card is acceptable payment.
I don't do Pay Pal. Period.

I know which 2 or three 110's that I have now are going in the shipping box with me when I leave this rock. 😷👍

Can never have too many 110's. I have one from 72 or 73, couple weeks ago ordered 3 from wally world for just under $35 a piece. Guess I wasn't happy with 4 so I just ordered 2 more for the same price with leather sheaths. 6 is a nice round number!
