I have one from 20 yrs or so ago the handle is squared off not rounded.

well i guess the above comment is due to that i can not afford current prices on the big fixed and still stuck two years ago...

I recently posted this photo in another thread here. Not only is the handle significantly larger, so is the guard. The older 124's are really a nice knife. I wish they still made them that way.

That's a nice pic Mike. Like 'em both. The chipflint and the black micarta makes an excellent comparison pair.

I admit that I rush over to the big evil E and check listings after I get turned onto a knife here in the forum. Others must do to it as well since it seems like the price goes up after we have a good chat about a particular model.

Yes I remember a thread here a few months ago about early versions of the Odyssey held together with torx fasteners. I had seen one on the big evil E like a week before sell for $20 so I figured I'd try to get one. After our thread a few went for nearly $50 and I kind of gave up.
