Buck 124's comparison photo???

Question:

does anybody know whether the red handle version of the 124 was even delivered to Europe?

Haebbie

Hi Haebbie,

I'm sure a few have migrated in that direction over the years. You just need to be in the right place at the right time;) . I 'll keep telling myself the same thing:p .

Hi JB,
Many thanks for your understandign, but you rub salt in my blood draw wound. I missed the third white 124 that was sold for appx. 80 f..... Dollars. But I've never seen nor heared about a red one in Germany. But let's see what happens.

Best,
Haebbie

man i am always a day late or a dollar short...
that is all that keeps me from getting fixed on 124
time or money..

Yep, maybe I am in da river call de Nile.

Anyway...thread drift alert...

Ya ever notice how many looky-loos there are? Maybe it's time that we block views unless people have histrocially posted. They do this on some other board I was just window shopping at. Guess ya get so many views and if ya don't post...well, no more views.
Would get some more opinions perhaps (?) This being the board I really only post to regularly and being new, I am not certain what the pros and cons are in doing something like that.

Example here, there have been 1,244 views but only 89 posts. That's only 7% of the peeps typing something and some of those are re-peeps (more than one post).

Junior Mathlete,
Goose.

Check my post count vs. my date of joining. I read a lot and only post when I have something to say. I'm sure there are many of us who can't commit to a daily "scratch and laugh" session, but enjoy reading and learning from the regulars here. It'd be a shame to cut that off.

To get back on topic, I own and enjoy a primo early 124 I bought sheathless in a pawn shop a few years ago along with a T-handle camp saw with sheath for $25. I sent it in for a refurb and Joe sent it back with a "Snoopy" sheath he "had lying around".

It's not that someone has to post constantly ( :o ). Just once in a while.

GronK, overstating the obvious here, but that's a great find. Never thought of checking out pawn shops.

Lately the 124 seems to be selling like wings at Hooter's. In fact, all Bucks on the auction site seem to be running high (IMHO).

That'd be cool if you could post a pic of that 124 GronK.

I have to agree with you on the all bucks running high on the auctions. It
seems like all we have to do is talk about a # whatever and the price goes up.J.M.H.O.

I admit that I rush over to the big evil E and check listings after I get turned onto a knife here in the forum. Others must do to it as well since it seems like the price goes up after we have a good chat about a particular model.

Too cool for school GronK!
$25 for an oldie but goody! You "stole" that iffn ya know what I mean ;)

GronK , 25 dollars... man you did get a good deal.I must go to the

Pawn shops in C.S. in May when I go up there for a wedding .

I have to wonder how many 124's that EEE got for $25?

Way to go GronK...

Thanks, gentlemen! The pawn shops here are not any better than those elsewhere (I know this because I travelled a lot on my last job). Just sometimes, if you're persistent, you can get lucky. Hope y'all didn't miss my bit about the sheath. I can't thank Joe enough for that! His CS keeps us all coming back!
