Still not had a reply from Buck if they will ship to the UK :(
Have you tried just ordering a knife, to see if it will work...?

Evil Eye Earl has it right, I think.

I'd go so far as to tell you to just try ordering a knife, through the Buck web site. Click the Adrenaline-Ti link then, click the green "Buy Now" button, just beneath the price. If you can complete the ordering of one, i.e. the software allows you to fill out all of the required text fields, without a bobble, then I think that you've just ordered a knife, and that it's on its way to you.

My reasoning is that you've just gotten your Tempest shipped back to you, "across the pond" from Buck, after warranty repairs, right...? Therefore, shouldn't Buck also allow you to just order a knife from them, too...? ;)
If we always wait until someone tells us that we can, then we will always be stuck on relying on others....

In fact...I will get a really cheapy lock knife and use that until this madness is over. Nothing great but hopefully will last a few months.

No.. in the list of Countries it says Canada and US. Nothing for us poor old brits.
I'm sorry that you're having difficulties in both getting a Buck knife, as well as getting an e-mail response from Mr. Houser.

Apparently, waiting is all that can be done...and waiting will mean that you may end up not getting the knife that you want....

he he I will get the Adrenaline Ti but will wait until they get back in touch. Just got a really cheap blade for the time being.

Its a shame that I have so many lovely knives... and cant use any of them :(

Eric H called the telephone number in order to confirm his purchase, as it seems that the e-mail confirmations aren't working each and every time.

I just called the store. My order that I placed online last night went thru, and it is shipping tomorrow! Talk about fast service!
Gotta say, the Woman who helped me on the phone was extremely pleasant, had no problem checking my order's status for me.
Thanks, Buck!
I have wanted some of these striders for a long time, since they came out, actually, but could not quite budget them in. Now, I have 3 on the way!

I must remember to buy some more Buck stock... :D

I have an off-topic question: I know the South African Army has an APC called the Rooikat, but what *is* a Rooikat??? I've also seen it spelled Rookiat [in the book "Vortex", by Larry Bond - excellent war novel!], so I'm not sure if it is an animal (of the cat family) or a slang term indigenous to South Africans...

My search shows Rooikat is indeed the name of a line of South African army vehicles, but it is also a name for the Caracal, which is a Lynx type of animal.

Thank you both! I didn't go far enough with Google to find the cat (I should have guessed). :)

I wonder how prevalent they are in New Jersey???

Thanks for the heads up. For me? A Police Knife, an Alpha Hunter (plain), and a burnt orange Revolution XT.

I've discovered in another thread that the collaboration between Buck and Strider has apparently ended, and that when the current inventory of Buck Striders is gone, there will be no more.

 Ordered on the 12th and delivered on the 15th. Lightning fast delivery.

Buck Tarani/Strider 882 with ATS-34 for $40 delivered. Oh my! Christmas and Birthday rolled into one.

The knife is perfect. Wow. Great ergonomics. Fits my hand tightly in the forward and reverse grips. Sharp as a razor. Solid lockup. Looks the business. Even has a lanyard hole.

It lists for $158. The sales receipt shows a discount of $118. Net cost $40.

Bargain of the year. And, I love bargains. This could be a collector's item since the Buck/Strider relationship has ended. I think that I should snap up the rest.

Thank you kindly fellow forum members for the heads up.

All the best,

oregon

It certainly sounds like you are a satisfied customer, oregon! ;)

This is the first sale that I've seen at the Buck web site. Maybe longer term BCCI Club and BladeForums members have seen such a sale before, but I never have. It's almost like letting a kid loose in a candy store....

You think?

I bot 2 SBT, my son 2 and even my older sister snapped up a couple. The reaction to seeing the 882 in person and realizing it only costs $40 delivered is jaw dropping. Everyone I show this knife to wants one. It has appeal on several fronts. The fact that the Strider/Buck relationship is finished marks the end of an era. Owning one of these knives records that era.

Best,

oregon
