I do love the this group and I'm desperately trying to hold off on the February BOTM at the moment. Retirement (fixed income) is looming as is some very expensive dental work.

Agreed. I cannot afford this BOTM and really wasn't interested. However, seeing posts like these is making it more and more difficult.

I'm holding off myself.
That GCK BOTM looks to be a great knife.
I like large, fixed blades, but the GCK knives don't really fit into the focus of my collection. Yes I have a few, so it's easy to decide not to buy based on that.
Actually, I was more drawn to them because of the tan micarta handles..... I'm not really into "Molle compatible" sheaths.

I laugh at the prices the 401's are selling for. Heck it's more than what you can buy a 402 for and those have been discontinued long ago.

It's easy to get caught up in the hysteria. Especially when you frequent the enablers forum, lol.
I temper the decision to buy by looking at the Custom Knives I've wanted and yet to order for similar prices.
I have lots of $200 knives sitting in boxes. I don't need another.

All are complete and correct with all the right parts.

Open Season Caper.
With it's s35vn blade, it's sorta like a scalpel.
I like little fixed blades, and the Open Series knives are some of my favorites with their full tang construction.
