Buck fixed blade Fridays

My Buck 119, easily my most-used knife. Seen here with one of the four sheaths I have for it, a kydex sheath with a leather frog. The length of paracord on the sheath is sized to perform well as an ideal-length bowstring for a bowdrill set. I am somewhat of a friction fire enthusiast and try to equip all my kydex sheaths with a bowstring.

Nice stand. Did you make it? Do you just swap the stands on the base or did you change it? I snagged your pics for reference as I’m going to make a few and that’s great. The live edge and spalting is real pretty.

Thanks for the compliment, I made it from scratch.

I made the supports removable (they have a brass pin that fits into a hole in the base) so I can reverse them to take pics (primary use for it) of both sides of the knife with the live edge facing still forward, and also to be able to make and use different ones when the size of a knife doesn't fit what I have.

I started out with the walnut supports and then decided that antler would give it a better look.

Nice work and nice collection. The Vanguard is on my "to get" list.

That is a real clever idea. I am going to make some stands and might incorporate the pin idea. I’d been pondering how to address that. I like the antler. I couldn’t tell that’s what it was in the first pic. Thank you for sharing.
