Buck fixed blade Fridays

After 7 months of 7 days a week I told them I'm DONE working weekends.
Nobody lies on their deathbed wishing they had worked that extra Saturday or Sunday.
Good for you! Enjoy your new lease on life.

Friday actually means something!

Sounds like one of my neighbors. He works at a foundry and could work 16 hrs a day, every day of the week. He usually pulls a double every day of his rotation.
Enjoy your weekends.
Nice knife

Wow.
I have a friend that was frequently mandated to work doubles as a prison guard. He retired as soon as eligible.

Sad there's so many good paying jobs out there that are under staffed, further pushing people out of the work force.

I told my employer I would either retire or work part-time. Their choice.

They have been good to me and need the help.
And it keeps my health insurance current.

Besides, you spend your whole life building a career, and just walking away is something I'd prefer to ease into.
😎
Thanks.

I heard that about prison guards and even law enforcement.

Staffing most jobs has been a struggle since 2020. Restaurants around here have closed early or not open at all because no cooks or serving staff.

I understand. Personal health, physical AND mental is the most important aspect of life and living. Health insurance is the only reason I have not pulled the plug.

Agree. When I end it, I want it on good terms. I work at a computer so working beyond 65 is easy. I might semi retiree for a few years so I need the door open.

Hopefully it works out like you want.
