Buck Knives Partners with Taylor Guitars

I’m sure i’ll do my usual procrastinating and miss out. What a terrible year to deside to cut back a little ??

grabbing another 110 or 2 ain't gonna hurt nothing. :) plus it's a going forward thing. next year it'll be ebony as well unless deal falls apart or something changes.

So I guess the dymondwood 110's will now become more collectable since it won't be used anymore. And the search is on for the rare 2019 date code 110 or 112 with dymondwood.

As a guitarist, I'm happy to hear this. Although I'm a Martin guy when it comes to acoustic guitars, Taylor does make a great instrument, and they are a very responsible and forward thinking company. The major guitar makers have been dealing with wood shortage issues and import red tape for a while now.

I have some beautiful striped Macassar Ebony fingerboards and bridges on some Martin guitars, as well as some really beautifully grained solid ebony scales on my older Buck 110 and 112 models. They're some of my favorite knives because of the ebony. It is just so hard, tight grained, and beautiful. It even feels good in the hand, whether on a guitar neck or a knife handle. Will get some pics soon.

I wonder if this could lead to some of the other interesting guitar woods getting used for knives, possibly from leftover guitar pieces. Lots of nice rosewoods are used regularly for fretboards & bridges. Mahogany, Spanish Cedar, and different types of figured Hard Rock Maple for necks, including flame, burled, and bird's eye.

Guitars & knives, I could go on all nite. Best of luck with the partnership! I'll have to pick one up to support the cause ... likely a 112 FG.

Congratulations! Taylor is such a well respected company. great for you two to work together.

That's great news! I love this!

However, I'm guessing it will take some time to make its' way to overseas vendors. Is there any easy way for customers and/or vendors to spot whether a knife has Dymondwood or Ebony handles? Like a difference in the serial number on the box or something?

There should be an insert in the box that explains the Natural Material and markings..

I like that knife.
Do not know why ,Because I am not a 110 or guitar person. Must be the former roadie in me.
Now where do you buy one?
It was one from an employee. I dont know if and or how many were ever made. We should see some beautiful stuff come out this year using that product.

Like i really need another 110 or 112 gezzzz!
I rotate all my 112 edc’s because i love them all. With or without finger grooves, old,new Auto, LT, Slim i mean now i’ll have to add Ebony with or without FG? Mind boggling!! :) :( ;)
