Buck Knives Partners with Taylor Guitars

Thanks.. I have read that thread.. Thanks for the link... Reminds me I haven't been active there in a long time.. lol I pretty much cut forums out of my life due to all the so-called experts that know nothing..
^lot of truth there, Sir.

that's why this forum with active manufacturer participation is a good thing for us all. helps curb/stop conspiracy and odd and poor assumptions before they take foothold and run off.

I would love to see a LE 110/112 with 'bookmatched' Ebony handles..and possibly slightly oversized! I had at one time a 112 with jumbo Ebony handles that
must have been a employees knife.

You mean bookmatched, or butterfly'd. Which is when a single piece is cut in half and layed open like a book.

Yes..Joe Houser said Buck used to have a employee who tried to match the scales.

Here are a couple more of my favorite ebony Bucks, in addition to the ones I posted with the guitar. The 112 has always been one of my favorite Buck designs, and I keep these two around the house in easy to grab areas for general use. The FG is newer, with ebony veneer on laminate, the one on top is a 4 dot with solid scales. Love 'em.

This is great news, I will definitely be picking up a 110 in ebony.

Most of the 25 anniversary 112's tend to Black or at least dark Ebony ..Every once in a while other early ones will be Black.

Macassar Ebony 112 with brass bolsters. Recent Buck of the Month, Taylor Guitars (Cameroon sourced) Ebony 112 with Nickel Silver bolsters. I expect we will see a variety of color in the future from brown to black to brown and black striped. I'm excited for whatever comes. It will be real wood and nice.:thumbsup:

Nice Knife Preston...Did the brass bolster patina funny or is that a reflection...I know brass sometimes patina's different in spots...

Has anyone purchased one of these new versions of the standard 110?

If so, has the sheath changed at all? Has it changed from the flat belt "strap" style to the old belt "loop" style?
