I was a Boy Scout, I didn't go to Philmont, N.M., but my Father who was the Scout Leader
and my brother went and brought back the buckle and belt for me in the early 70's.

33 small pen- fellow ham I used to talk to worked in the shipyard in Bath Maine. He made buckles from the scrap SS he got at work.
I sent him one of my lapel pins & he sent this back to me, pretty neat.

The knife buckle was a gift from my Friend, Big Al ( Dodge ).

Your buckle was modeled after a Rod Chappel Bowie.

I see you been a HOG member for a while! I only have 1, an `88 that Harley gave the year I bought my Heritage.

Being from Montana, I'm close enough I haven't missed a Sturgis in 20 years, well...... except for most of the rally last year because Duncan, Paul and Charlie shamed me into going to the GEC Rendezvous!!

I'm still hearin about that!!

Anyway have I got THE belt for you!! To big for me now but I just couldn't pass it up.....

Case buckles and sent me a note asking if I could use one! :thumbsup:

I told him How Much I Appreciated his gesture and offer but that I only wear two buckles and promised him I would post them in this thread and that he would understand my declining his Generosity then.
Of the dozen or so buckles I have won I only have two now, the very 1st one I won and this one.
They don't call em "Buckle Bunnies" for nothin!!!

I didn't even know I still had this buckle till the ex split in 2012 and took ALL her stuff! Hence it still looks quite new!

Unlike my other buckle that you can't even see the engraving any longer!

Oh well...a TON of memories in that one! Just like a couple of pocketknives I have managed to hang on to!

Once again Hitched Horsehair belt and an IXL Equestrian Beauty!

I can not even come close to matching that buckle my friend and I will not even try . I will leave my offer out to you however . I don't know why I never did buy a Harley- Davidson buckle . I had a Harley in 1958 and 1959 and I can even match up with one of the names . That is is a beautiful Buckle and Knife that you posted too .

I'm very grateful to have the two I still have, back in the day they were cool to win but mean more to me now then back then. Every time they bring back memories and Friends from a time when life was just a little more Wild!!
