Speaking of cousins of the 184. Does anyone know the difference, by looking, between the CUK and the MFK? I just guess one is marked and one isn't? There has to be another way?

This letter was represented by XDguys as proof that the Buckmaster was a "SEAL's Knife."

However, the letter only states a conditional offer of help in getting the knife into a testing procedure......it says nothing about it actually being a "SEAL's Knife."

So this letter offers no proof as was stated. Can XDguy explain this?

I almost hesitate to point this out since there has been a bit of sensitivity about the knife here recently, but I think it's a fair observation and question.

Did you not read the FIRST sentence ? "Recently your company developed a survival knife which was based upon Navy Special warfare requirements." .. BOOM

I would love to find a barn find 184 someday. I can remember them at the local Army Navy for $110. Back then I was a broke college student and didn't have a hundred bucks to drop on a knife but I sure wanted one bad.
