A Ka-bar short heavy bowie. Took off the original, rather horrible grip and made a new one of scrap wood and cord wrap. This gives a very good grip, size is better for my medium sized hands. Looks are of course relative.
I have also made a new grip on the CS Trailmaster. I did not use any wood, just built the grip out of cord and epoxy with good results.
