I don't know about you guys, but I'm always seeking out new burger joints in search of the "Grail Burger". I love burgers! As much as I love knives, so why not pair them? Nothing says "I'm a man" like chomping down on a big fat burger:D

(Inspired by the Beer & Blades thread)
Let's see your favorite burgers paired with your favorite knife. Whether you made it on the grill, or ordered it at your favorite local burger joint, let's see em'! Fast-food dosent count, small-businesses only!

I'll kick it off, this is a new place I found called "Big Sammy's" out here in Illinois. I've been getting their Double Cheeseburger with Cheese Fries and Iced Tea, YUMM!!! It's a simple burger, lettuce, tomato, pickle, onion, cheese, mayo, ketchup, mustard. But boy, this burger is a behemoth!

Here it stands, next to my Olamic Wayfarer.

Let's see yours!!!

Great thread idea. I'll contribute as soon as I can. I have a fetish of cutting any burger I have in half with whatever knife I have. If I didn't just have a fabulous pastrami sandwich I would say that burger is making me hungry!

The best burger I've ever had was at a biker bar called The Boondocks in Amarillo, TX. The burger was called the boonie burger.

When I lived there, when I was going to Amarillo College I used to eat one almost every other day! They were fantastic!

Sadly, I think the place closed down. Ever since I moved away I've been daydreaming about those things.....

Apparently, I have pretty damned good taste in burgers and didn't even know it! Check out this esteemed burger review website:

The boonie burger is #1!!! (Be sure to feast your eyes on the pictures of that absolutely magestic burger!)

The best burger I've found in my current neck of the woods is at a place called Christians Tailgate. A close runner up would be Stanton's City Bites, then probably the Grimm Burger from Lankfords Grocery. Next time I sit down to plow through a good one, I'll snap a picture.

Great idea for a thread man!

But what was on the burger???
You can't leave a burger lover hanging like that!!
:D;)

I love burgers too! I will post a photo of the next one I have. Lots of "Burger Joints" opening up in the East Bay these days. Some good some so so.
Plus we already have In & Out Burger.

Yea, well, can't guarantee that would go smoothly:rolleyes:
I don't imagine people would think highly:cool: of me...

I have only eaten there once. I have trouble buying expensive food, because it takes from my knife budget!

50/50 pork and beef with minced garlic
Grilled: jalapenos, serrano peppers, and onion
Pepper jack cheese
Double cut smoked apple wood bacon
Sliced avocado
Sliced tomatoes
Homemade BBQ sauce
All on a toasted Hawaiian hamburger bun

And a local beer to top it off

Damn, that burger looks wicked. I am HONGRY

Looking forward to contributing to this thread

Particulalry if it had more pictures of knives and less chat about burgers! In my opinion.

In my opinion as well!

Touché buddy, you got me. I promise I'll contribute when I can, and not muck up the thread with burger recommendations...

Let alone the fact that the damned place closed down. Sheesh - I guess I just had to let everybody know about those burgers. They were ephemerally delicious! When I finished one I wanted to order another, but I always knew I couldn't possibly eat another one.

THAT, my friends, is the mark of a good burger. (To me anyway)

OK, well all that talk about red robin made me give it a try...damn good burger. Their knives were shit tho, so I provided my own. :D
