Any chance of a pic of that handle from above?

Kind regards

Wow, leave a couple days and all of this?

Great looking blades so far guys. And welcome to the newcomers!

Today I did some pre-challenge evaluations with this one, doing some carving, drilling, and batoning. I even used it to cut some watermelon. I have a few suggestions for tweaking the handle, but the blade performed admirably.

I agree that 4-4.5" is a good length. I was batoning some wood that was decent sized, and a 3.5" blade would not have been enough.

Mick, if I don't get around to taking a picture of the handle from the top, Ray will be able to do it in a couple days when I return it (assuming that I do actually return it, I kinda like this one....).

That one will not be a slacker by the looks of the design. :)

I have a 1/8 woodcraft type knife, blade about 1 1/2 inches wide, and have wondered how strong the blade is. glad to see you are using 1/8. has this been a workable thickness for you?
This will most likely be my entry knife for the challenge:

1/8" ATS-34
Green/Black Linen

I've had several dozen bushie blades in 3/32 go out (.096-.098) and they hold up very well.

Thanks for the kind words guys...am looking forward to seeing how it performs with all of the other great blades in the challenge

All of these knives are just goregous. I can't wait to see all the entries.

I've been looking for a bushcraft knife for a while now too, so I hope everybody does commissions.

Tony M and Kev just left my place a couple of hours ago. Tony has my entry.
