Bushcraft Knife challenge - Interest?

I've got kiln problems. My sugar creek shot craps today.

That sucks Iz! As Red Green once siad "there is nothing worse for a man than having his unit malfunction".

Good luck getting things going again!

I'll try it out, just signed up. I've had the blank cut out for about 4 years, got it HT a year ago. I work slow but it will be worth it seeing my "work" with those of real makers.

Well, I'm thinking of entering this one. It's still a while before the deadline so I might change my mind. It's 9 1/2" overall, 4 1/2" blade, 1095 steel, macasser (I think) handle.

for those of us coming in late can we get a recap of the conditions of contest, specs, time frame, etc.

Thanks for the comments guys. I like the knife a lot but I'm still not sure if it's the one. I might go with a smaller version of this design.

4"-4 1/2" blade seems about right to me, why do ya think it should be smaller ?

For me, it's the right size. I like bigger blades than most people even for small tasks. I'm just thinking of what the testers will like. A 3.5" blade might be nicer for carving and small cutting. As a knifemaker, you got to think of what the users will like. If I made the knife for myself, this would be it but I have to remember that this knife isn't for me. I haven't decided yet though.

The Bushcraft I made was 4.25" blade as well. It was a good size for bigger tasks and the smaller tasks are manageable.
