I'm in the market for a dedicated bushcraft knife, but I'm unable to decide what to look into...

SOOOO...Let's see your pictures!!! Hopefully I'll get an idea of what I'm looking for. Thanks, guys!!

Oh now you've done it! These threads never seem to get old for me, because we all seem to be buying, selling, trading, and testing new knives all the time. And we have a few makers that hang out in this forum a lot and they have allowed such great input into the products they make for our use. Here are a few of mine:

I have more- a Fiddleback Jr I drag around with me a lot (no pics though)
And I'm on the alert for more---just need to make more money!

I have a few...
Dan Koster Bushcraft 3V
KOA Alpha wolf D2
BRK&T Canadian Special A2
Bark river also makes a bushcraft blade...I just can't remember the name?
Sorry no pics..

Some fine bushcraft blades are the JK Bushcrafter:

Or the Breeden KAT or Tyson Bushcrafter:

These are all very solid knives ! Very good quality.

They all come with good sheaths & you'll be happy with any of them.

I mostly use a mora carbon clipper or a laminated mora s1 the price is right and they do everything that a more expensive blade can do..If you are looking something alittle more fancy however the enzo trapper or the kellam wolverine are on my short to get list...Also if you are looking for a custom.. Stomper,DP knives (makes a new scandi model), Breeden, fiddleback, Grossman and Siguy are good places to start.

I have or have had just about every other maker you posted and they are all wonderful, but this knife drives me nuts everytime I see it.

I am gonna have to take a pic or three tonight and post up.

How do you "frives me nuts? "Sounds like it would hurt!

I have about 3 Mora 510's laying around. In my truck, the kitchen, and my day pack. Seems to be all I ever used.

Although I bought a Tops Pasayten Lite Traveler from Bryan Breeden. So far it's been a great knife. I was surprised by the 154-CM steel. Not sure why. I haven't been able to put it through it's paces yet, but I have no doubt that it will be a great knife.

The mora #1 classic is also terrific. I also have a Fallkniven F1, another popular knife around here, but would not recomend it for bushcraft. Maybe as a 'one-knife-do-all' type thing, but it is far outclassed by the mora when paired with a hatchet or other dedicated harvesting tool.

Thought someone might have beaten me to it but here goes. You might want to look at getting a Koster Bushcraft. I got one and haven't looked back, it's a really great knife for all Bushcraft tasks. Well put together and worth every cent.

I'll chime in with my new JK budget hunter in cocobolo. This is John's picture.

Stainless, I Love my Fällknivens, Idun and Frey..
