Thanks!

I think the Kephart will be my go-to woods knife for awhile. It just feels so great in my hand. Mike and the Bark River crew did these right!

Varg, …a fine trio.

That’s the best shot I’ve seen of the New Full Tang Kepharts.

My little Bandicoot makes quite a good bushcraft blade.....

Nowhere near as nice to look at as those already shown but this knife is one hell of a performer....

OK, I am late getting in on this one. The past month has been nuts with knives. Many of these are new this month/last month.

Breeden/Hamilton 3/32" Compact Bushcraft I w/Mtnfolk leather necker. A nice, lightweight combo. This leather really rounded this rig out.

Breeden/Hamilton 3/32" Compact Bushcraft II w/Mtnfolk leather necker. Another nice, lightweight combo. This leather MAKES the outfit. Before I got this sheath, this little gem was lost, wasting away, waiting for suitable pants. Mikes' leather is more than suitable.

Muskrat Man (MMK) 1/8" Bushcraft, 3/32" Baby Bushcraft with a killler flat grind and G-10 scales, 3/32" Baby Bushcraft with GCM - all new this week.
081608-05.jpg

Breeden 5" x 5/32" "sorta-Peacemaker" with Natural Paper Micarta/Brass. It started out with the "Hamilton Handle" but got further "Hamiltonized" as I worked it, because the weight of the knife and smoothness of the scales reminded me that a contoured handle will keep your knife in your hand.
BRKT FT Kephart with the wrong color scales - was supposed to be Red Linen. Thought about just selling it but it's just too sweet a BC blade. The guard is bulky and needs some attention. Gossman Mini-Tusker - one sweet-a$$ed blade, period. Still tweaking the handle.

Breeden/Bearthedog "CUB" in 5/32". I grin like an idiot whenever I pick this one up.

MMK PSK Bushcraft and PSK Puuko. Both 3/32". The BC has been in my pocket since I got it. Very capable in spite of their size.
MMKPSK01-1.jpg

A particularly large 3mm thick Shing waiting for scales.
SHING01.jpg

Comapact Bushcraft I again, Fiddleback Bushcraft Jr. 5/32" but ground "right." A particularly handy and useful BC and..... my personal all-time favorite knife..... MMK 3/32" Bushcraft in GCM.
FB07.jpg

BRKT Canadian Special. Not one to be overlooked. If someone passes one along because it "looks funny," grab it.

A really crappy pic of the only two fixed blades I used for years. The Curly Maple-handled Russell is a fine BC knife. The Ebony Russell Ripper has been a an old stand-by in the kitchen - a bit too thin in the woods for "woodworking" for me. The Ritter Grip' is quite worthy in the bush as folders go - very capable.

right on jeff... i was waiting for you to put up some of your blades... you have some beauties...

Thanks, Mike. There is a review on several of these coming. Since your sheaths are an integral part of the knives they carry, and so appropriately, they will be included with some better pics and details. It's hard to discuss the knife without discussing the sheath, particularly for a BC blade - at least in my mind.

Ok you sir are almost as bad as Bear. I want one of each. Tell me more about the "sorta-Peacemaker", please.

Well, it started when I handled the first Peacemaker - the one with Osage handles. I made one small suggestion on the handle, which Bryan tried and liked. I told Bryan I wanted one too. Then I wrote later and told him "but with a spearpoint." Later, I wrote again and asked to shorten it to 5". Still later, the request for 5/32" instead of 1/8" and "no scales, please." Well, once I got it, I ended up changing the handle profile even more becasue the length was different and the weight/distribution changed due to thickness and length changes and Micarta vs. wood scales. In the end, I am not sure what it is, but I will be using it as a Bushy.:D Bryan is so great to work with and I have learned a good deal from him. He is going to make me like the 5" blades yet. I on'y gave the highlights on the changes. I struggled with length and where to put the point for a bit. I am liking the knife.

Here is a Bushcrafter by Blind Horse Knives, I am loving this one currently and it get carried every time I hit the woods, very comfortable to use. Came with a nice JRE sheath too not in the photos.

I swore "no more knives for '08" and this one broke me down.
I like the sheath that comes with it too. I have a few from BRKT knives, but without he d-ring. Perfect for a Baldric.

Just realized I can click on the image.:o
That's a great pattern too. John hit on a neat idea with these. I have not had the pleasure yet to handle one of the Budget Hunters.

Needs to be held to be appreciated. Blade is just under 4" from 1/8" 1095. Overall length is just over 8". Just feels "right" in the hand.

JK left the handle unfinished for me. I finished it with a combination of linseed oil, turpentine, and spar varnish. Little more spar varnish than I wanted, but it is now weatherproof. ;)

Great dimensions. I love 1095 and I love spar varnish (McCloskey's is my favorite).
