Bushcrafting cargo rigs

uh no that was, uh, a , uh , intimate video me and the GF were watching.....:D

That was what I told my wife was going on (jealous;)).

I just got a chest rig setup with 2 back pockets today at the Boat and Sportsman show for $50. A bit bulky but I am a pack rat and it has Sooooooooo many pockets that I can fill, and recently I took weight restrictions off of me feet- finally getting strong enough- so I look forward to wearing a vest into the wilds and relaxing this year.

It's late, pack is Downstairs, and I'm lazy so I'll try and get pics after class tomorrow.

I also came across a version of this Pilot Survival Vest from, IIRC, WW II ?
Nothing on the back but mesh, so I usually wear it under a jacket in cooler weather. Basically carries all the small stuff, but not water or stoves.

please where have you got it?

Kifaru and Mystery ranch stuff is like crazy 'spensive. But from all accounts it's worth what you pay.

I've been looking at that E&E bag, the piggyback system is pretty slick. Price tag is a bit rediculous though. I just bought 5 yards of premium tanned elkskin so I think I'm going to be attempting this kit myself. I need to get a leather punch yet, but hopefully I can build this entire thing with some utility pouches and knife sheaths for less than 100 bucks.

I got it from Federal Army Navy Surplus here in Seattle several years ago. Every now and again, they'll come up with one or two. I've also seen one or two over the years at our local Washington Arms Collectors shows here in the Northwest...
But I haven't seen one in over a year.... FANS does frequently have the modern Airforce Survival vests, and I managed to grab a great condition one a couple of years ago... No place to carry water or a billy, but it can carry a heck of a lot as well as has a holster and usually a Pilots' Survival knife/sheath with 'em...
