Bushfinger, Initial Impressions

Ah, I forgot you still need to take this baby out...I need to curb my enthusiasm :o :D

I look forward to your review later  It's going to be this one or the Hunter for me...maybe something in between if I ever get to see a pic of the two side by side.

Yeah, I was hoping to take it for a walk this evening but the storms messed those plans up. Hopefully I'll get it out in the woods up at Rainbow Lake Sunday or Monday...I need to go up there to harvest some of a downed Cottonwood. I am working on material for an over-all review in the general section (mods won't let me do reviews in the W&SS anymore), but it will take me a little bit to get it all compiled.

That's a wicked blade.
I love everything about it.
Iz

Yes it is, and so do I :)

It certainly handled tonight's dinner very well indeed. A few russet potatoes, a couple of small shallots, some purple garlic, a teriyaki marinade tenderloin, and some greens.

That looks fantastic! I'm a garlic fanatic. Eat it raw. So does my 8 year old. One time a teacher complained that she reeked of garlic. Thats my girl! (Deal teacher.)

Still trying to figure out if the bolsters and liners are one solid piece, or if liners go on first, then bolster and scale... Thx for any info you can provide, beautiful knife.

The bolster and liner are two seperate parts. I don't have a mill machine.

Garlic is great and great for you! Among other things it's good for the heart and helps keep mosquitoes at bay.

Maybe this Autumn I'll come down and camp out at one of the campgrounds around Lake Sydney Lanier and do some open fire cooking :) You're not as far away as I thought...I thought you were on the other side of Atlanta. Which of those campgrounds do you think would be better for practicing a little bushcraft and doing a little photography?

Just had breakfast....but now salivating with these pics :D

Thanks Russell...I can't help it I enjoy cooking :)

i grew up in Gilroy, CA the garlic capitol of the world and home to the garlic festival.

love the stuff! :D

ever have garlic ice cream? yummy! :p

Any at the southern end would work, campground wise. Car camping, but fun as long as the heat is over with. If you're going to come while its still hot, we'd just meet up in the mountains north of Helen or something. Nice and cool at night. Might be able to talke Dyl to come up and camp in Tennessee. One of my favorite states for scenery.

Never heard of garlic ice cream. But I'd give it a shot.

Definitely want to wait till the heat passes...at least the worst of it, but the mountains north of Helen still sounds good too.

There are some great places for camping up here and hiking up here. Edwards point is beautiful in the Autumn. You two should come up and do some camping later this year

Andy, that blade is darn near PERFECT!

My beautiful bride still likes the ladyfinger best of all, but now I'm liking the bushfinger more. The bushfinger is designed for strength and performance, but it also "sings" to me!

Well done, sir!

Kurt.

Anytime you're ready to put your order back in Kurt. I'll hold onto some of your material for a while too. Just in case.
