Bushfinger, Initial Impressions

Just check out the full review. Thanks for the heads up

Yeah, I saw that. This knife is soooo sweet! I'll definitely be getting another one, a recluse I think. Really looking forward to the machete next week, I've got plans for it already :)

I'm jealous....Bushfinger and 12" Machete....:grumpy:

:p:D

No need for jealousy bro, just order your own. It is a business for Andy ya know, he makes stuff on a regular basis :)

I may have the first Bushfinger, but pretty sure it won't be the only one, and I knows he making more 12" machetes

.

I will, when the financial situation permits. As it stands now, my Hunter will have to suffice :)

Convex Hunter, Black Canvas Micarta, Spalted or Cohea etch finish (you decide). Took off the red micarta underlay to simplify the order for you.

Our last email exchange was 8/14-8/15 (re-sent hand measurements in that exchange as well). Slated for Feb or later.

Thanks guys this thing is really sweet. Andy did an absolutely fantastic job on it!

This is my first one (but I've been wanting one for over a year) , and so far I am loving it.

The specs are...

8.75" or 22.25cm over all.
4.30" or 11cm Blade
4.50" or 11.4cm handle
5/32" or 4mm thick spalted O1 steel
nearly flat convex sabre grind
black canvas micarta liners and bolsters
Natural canvas handle scales
pins are natural canvas micarta and carbon fiber.

I really like that Andy uses so much 5/32 steel on his knives. I think those who have such a love affair with 1/8 blades have had totally different life experiences than I :)

What is the height (widest point)of the blade?

Who made the sheath.

MAN - nice double welt! I want more pics of the sheath. Of COURSE the knife is hot - take pics of the pants man! ;)

I made the sheath, sir. I'm doing a similar one now that I've inlaid with snakeskin from a copperhead I skinned and cured that a neighbor killed recently.

Bumping this one back up to say this is one of the most beautiful blades I have ever seen. Absolutely stunning. I think my wallet may be in trouble.
