It was an erroneous chart from alphaknifesupply.com and I replaced it by a chart from zknives.com.
A8 Mod is definitely a 8% chromium steel.
And INFI (as tested by Larrin) have same composition.

Ahh, ok I see what you did. Yes, that A8mod is correct now, as I remember it. So it appears that the 2018 batch of INFI is A8mod, and the 2001 and 2003 INFI is what was originally called Mod INFI that the original basics came with. So the original INFI formula is limited to the original run. Or so it appears.

I like the field knife, it's a good size for day trips and hikes. Most of the time for general utility I'll use this because it's got a slightly longer blade. And because it's already beat up.

Post this in "Knives Wanted", not in discussion forums. Otherwise, bedlam ensues when everyone takes such liberties and warnings have to be issued.
 
I’m not ashamed to admit I know very little about CPK’s offerings, never owned one.

I did pick up a Busse AMS a couple years ago (I like small fixed blades), but it just didn’t work for my hands, too small and it became more and more uncomfortable after use. I stuck it in a generic KSF sheath and gifted it to a member on here.
So my question is, does CPK offer something with a similar blade size/shape but a more substantial handle while maintaining a short ( 7”-ish ) OAL?

*holy cow lol “a couple years ago” was 2013 😳 …time flies 😂

Lee D Lee D Not sure what an AMS looks like. If you hit the Carothers subforum, there’s an Encyclopedia sticky that lists every CPK model. ~ 7” OAL will limit you to the EDC line.
