Busse Anniversary Knife Model?. . . You decide!!!

Cobalt,

I'm not sure you're serious, or if the remake of that knife would somehow gut the value of some guy's collection of Steel Hearts.

Why not create a poll for the top knives mentioned in this thread, and whichever wins make that the new anniversary knife?

This exact blade profile and dimension (including the plunge cut), with the fusion magnum handles!!! IMHO, this is the most useful large blade shape and size.

Unless, of course, something similar would be the next production steel heart!!!

I am totally serious. Unlike the SHBM, Jerry never really made a boat load of differing SHSH's, like satin or LE's, now is the time to add them to the lineup. If he did the sHSH1 with SF handles that would just be an SFNO.

After some serious thought,

the 25th Anniversary Knife should be the:

"SILENT KNIGHT"
in a Satin Finished LE version with Manum Handles!

the 15th Anniversary Knife should be the:
"SILENT KNIGHT"
in a less expensive Combat Version!!!

Well, I'm not a real hog, or even a piglet, but I'd like to see some form of Busse take on the old LiLE style knives. Maybe a SFNO or FSH with a fully serrated spine, or a giant size NARK with a six or seven inch blade.

How about a new design small blade with satin finish? Better yet, make it easier on the wallets of piglets (no offense to the hogs:D).

+ a gazillion.

I'm sure that a popular thought would be to make one dozen high-buck behemoth sweethearts that would only be available to a fortunate few.

However, I think a more magnanimous gesture would be to make a run of smaller, more affordable beauts so that the celebration of Busse's anniversary could be shared by more of the company's fans and loyal customers.

Don't need the fusion magnum handles. The magnum handles are a modern attempt to duplicate the older smooth micarta handles. But the curves in the smooth micarta were hand ground.

The smooth bolts were the thickest and most contured. The slotted bolts just a touch less.

I would like to make a very humble suggestion for an "anniversary set" that would be a benchmark to Jerry's abilities. I believe that Jerry could get a limited run of perhaps two hundred sets ready in about two to three months... Just in time for the beginning of 2007. :)

Here's a glass of Lagavulin to the "SET".

Here is a "short order photo" of my recommendation for the Anniversary Set.

All the very best,

I'd like to see a piggy backed set. Old style Satin Jack Limited Edition with a 3" blade for the piggy in exactly the same cut and handle.
