Busse Combat Is Proud To Introduce The Camp Cleaver And The Bunker Buster

And it's funny how you mentioned real diamonds vs fake diamonds. Wouldn't a Busse Cleaver be considered "fake" as it's not exactly a true cleaver when compared to actual high end cleavers on the market? I'm fairly certain that other high end cleavers will out slice the Busse cleaver any day of the week (granted, the Busse cleaver will need a bomb or two to make a dent in it).

A fake diamond is not a diamond. A Busse cleaver is a cleaver.... Also, cleavers are designed to chop through bone and meat, not slice.

It's a want to be a cleaver just as a "fake" diamond is in want to be a real diamond, just like Pinocchio is in want of being a real boy. ;)

And in order to "chop" it must slice into bone and meat by it's edge, hence the cutting power of actual cleaver will surpass a Busse Cleaver. The only reason why Busse is justifying the price tag is because of the name attached to it. If the size and the function was put to account (whilst ignoring the Busse name), the prices would have adjusted to a lower price point accordingly.

I tried really, really, really hard to walk away from the cleaver.
In the end, I couldn't do it. Had to get it and the BB.

I tried and succeeded in walking away from these offerings.

Then I purchased the BBLE with Tan/Black G10. I'm not weak.....really....

F-it. I'm drunk, at a bar and just ordered a Buster after I said earlier in this thread I wadnt. F-infi 2

Cmon now ladyearth...im sure you get what I'm saying. Everyone has something they would pay more money for because it's something they love..if your all about economy.. then what are you doing on the Busse Combat forum? You could buy, break an replace 30 harbor freight knives an still spend less than on an expensive Busse... id bet its cause an exceptionally nice blade floats your boat a little to... hu?..hu.? That's all I'm saying.... didn't intend to trigger a diamond discussion.. an a camp cleaver is not intended to be a kitchen butchers cleaver...its for chopping wood, rope, meat, ect...different animal

Anybody have a pic of a blade with moss and tan g10? Or red g10 and moss.

Can't find any pics of those anywhere.

from the Google

Moss and TAN Micarta...no Tan G10 though..

dang! didn't work...I'll try again

I'm definitely not a gambling type girl (in terms of Vegas type gambling) but I'm willing to bet on the HUCK which I ordered to be a practical functional knife for years to come.

I like how you're alluding that the Busse Cleaver is original art whilst the high end cleavers are merely prints despite also being often high quality and in limit quality and made by known companies/makers world wide.

The impracticality of the Busse Cleavers pricing is influencing my opinions towards amazement at the folks reactions and the ensuring choices they're making at the end.
Lol.... quite the response .

Not sure how it would not be a "real" cleaver. An axe is still an axe, a sword is still a sword and a knife is still a knife, regardless of who makes it or its thickness and grind variations.

You speak the truth clampdaddy ...oh well, she may disagree with us. But any girl that buys a HUCK is still bad ass in my book.

The CS Camp Cleaver; lots of usable power for a relatively small package. It will certainly prove to be a really good all rounder.

I just wanted to add that the busse cleaver could probably cleave the other cleavers anyway. ;):)

The Bunker Buster brings me back to Busse. Haven't ordered anything for years, but that's a knife I can't resist.

I saw the BBLE yesterday and got the "that's it" feeling. BBLE Tan/Black for me, in fact, I'm thinking of getting a BBCG too. I just became a Bussekin fan in 2015, and I've been buying Swap Rat and SYKCO for camping. In the mean time I've been waiting until the right INFI knife came along for my uses.

I really like the BB blade design for chopping and the handle design is more along the lines of what I prefer. I don't care for the pointy pommel I'd much rather have a flat one. Other than that I think it'll be a useful tool. I use all of my knives. Canvas might be better for chopping, but I couldn't pass up the look of the tan/black G10 with the satin INFI blade.

Cleavers? The Busse Camp Cleavers are beautiful and I cannot fault anyone for buying one. But I already have a high end stainless cleaver. My cleaver doesn't get much use, and I cannot see using it for camping. I guess I'm just too cheap or too practical for a cleaver. Funny thing, I'm not as practical in my gun collecting as I am with knives.

BTW - Busse makes great knives, probably the best semi-production knives I have used. And I think SR101 is excellent steel too.

I can see the infomercial now "What am i going to do with all these cleavers??? There's just so many! WELL THE NEW BUSSE CAMP CLEAVER ISN'T JUST A MEAT CLEAVER, IT'S A CLEAVER CLEAVER!!!".

indeed... an I know people will disagree with me here but, Im inclined to use a blade "more" when it was expensive... I could never do the whole safe queen thing.
sometimes I hear people suggest that because its "pretty"...then its not a performer, just a safe queen.. If I spend a lot of money for that warranty and performance.. Im sure as hell going to use it a lot and besides, I think a blade with use marks is tough as hell!! my CS WTF will get lots of use as will the CS Cleaver...:D

Oh, I'm fairly new to this forum. Could someone please point me to a good representative picture of the Busse Maroon Canvas handles. I'm thinking of picking up a BBCG too.

Maroon is not shown on their site.

Thank you.
