In a knife the size of the Bunker Buster, G10-Micarta makes no difference to me, I tend to order the G10 on knives less than 8 or 9 inches-On Choppers the Micarta is a great choice for it's softer feel-Either way these Bunker Buster's look to be an excellent offering-The BG will provide a great knife at a reasonable cost, and at $537 for the Satin Bunker Buster with an 8 and 1/2 inch blade, contrary to what people may think, they to are a Great Bargain (especially compared to a mint Tank Buster that may sell for $600 on the Exchange)-Great looking knife at a more than fair price equals 2 for me-Congrats to all who scored one!

I think the BBLE is a great value as well. 8.5" of satin INFI for $537, yes please and thank you. For me it's kinda like a poor man's WTF. I know that's not really a fair comparison. The WTF is Custom Shop, 2.5" longer, .9" wider, .120" thicker & has a flat spine & a fusion handle. But it's almost 3x the price for those extra inches. It's also not that much more than some of the smaller LE offerings like the Urban Grudge LE ($397). I guess my main comparison is cost to blade length ratio amongst satin finishes. Just my humble opinion.

The bunker buster reminds me of the chop house, I like it! I went with the cleaver though, sage and maroon.

It's very similar profile to the chop house, but will be a bit shorter and less blade heavy. I'm wondering if I can justify having both.

after doing some comparisons, yes they are. I will do the measurements later tonight to confirm exact measurements.

I'm in for a couple of cleavers. The BB is a great looking blade but I'm partial to the NMSFNO for a blade that size. Congrats to all! And I can't wait for the cleaver!

you go BG or the INFI?...if ya dont mind me asking..

The NMSFNO is one of my favorites also-But I am always open to finding something I like even better, not saying I will like the Bunker Buster more-But those sexy lines well-I guess I just like Curves

Two weeks ago, I bought my first Busse.....the Son of Swat LE. Haven't even received the SOS yet and I've already bought another one. The BB LE is just too beautiful to pass up.

Great question....I went with the BG on both cleavers. For my intended purpose, actual cutting of meat and separating from bones, I just can't justify the extra expense for infi. I'd love to have one of those as well but I am more than pleased with sr101's performance for pretty much everything. I do like infi for a big fatty or chopper or if I was going to by the Bunker Buster, I would absolutely buy the infi version in a blade that long. Otherwise, for meat cleaving, I prefer sr101, for chopping kryptonite, I choose infi.

I don't know how they can afford a bottle of JW Blue with each Bunker Buster but I will appreciate it!

Seriously though, I like the change in the background of the pics, and in for a Bunker Buster BG.

that is not a just a bottle of Blue, but a King George V edition bottle of Blue

considerably more difficult to find and a TAD bit more expensive

BG cleaver, to match the BG WTF on order.

I swore, I was off the wagon, but they keep pulling me right back on!

Or maybe I'm on the waggon and fell off?

As much as I love Busse knives, I'm still amazed people are so ready to throw away $800 for a infi Cleaver when top of the line meat cleavers for five star chefs tends to be around $200 to $300 at the very most.

Whatever floats your boat (while sinking your wallets...)

countless people take their paycheck and head to vegas dropping $800 in minutes with nothing to show for it.. I get what your saying but its the same reason a girl likes a real diamond over a fake.. or how people drop thousands on original art rather than a print.. an it causes my boat to be highly buoyant!!

So far I've been able to resist. However, I really could use a cleaver. Decisions, decisions. Maybe a BG "stripper" for kitchen use. I just wish I had some idea as to how long before these will be charged and shipped???

I'm definitely not a gambling type girl (in terms of Vegas type gambling) but I'm willing to bet on the HUCK which I ordered to be a practical functional knife for years to come.

And it's funny how you mentioned real diamonds vs fake diamonds. Wouldn't a Busse Cleaver be considered "fake" as it's not exactly a true cleaver when compared to actual high end cleavers on the market? I'm fairly certain that other high end cleavers will out slice the Busse cleaver any day of the week (granted, the Busse cleaver will need a bomb or two to make a dent in it).

I like how you're alluding that the Busse Cleaver is original art whilst the high end cleavers are merely prints despite also being often high quality and in limit quality and made by known companies/makers world wide.

The impracticality of the Busse Cleavers pricing is influencing my opinions towards amazement at the folks reactions and the ensuring choices they're making at the end.

Anybody have a pic of a blade with moss and tan g10? Or red g10 and moss.

Can't find any pics of those anywhere.

Well, resistance was futile! I just ordered the BG Cleaver for use in the kitchen. Black (which I'll strip) with orange and black G10. Orange and black are the colors my wife likes and a while back I bought her an AMS with orange and black G10 scales. So, since it is for the kitchen and in "her" colors I can "justify" buying it! (That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!!!!):D
