Busse Combat Is Proud To Introduce The Camp Cleaver And The Bunker Buster

ya an you can at least see the maroon one on the Baby Boom knife website photo, its sporting em

indeed... an I know people will disagree with me here but, Im inclined to use a blade "more" when it was expensive... I could never do the whole safe queen thing.
sometimes I hear people suggest that because its "pretty"...then its not a performer, just a safe queen.. If I spend a lot of money for that warranty and performance.. Im sure as hell going to use it a lot and besides, I think a blade with use marks is tough as hell!! my CS WTF will get lots of use as will the CS Cleaver...:D

Keeping a high prized blade unused is keeping all the toys you received as kid boxed.
Where is the fun in that! 150 yrs from now, the sons of your sons will only need to repolish/resharpen it and it should come back as good as new, so why not use it in the mean time? That why I buy BUSSE. Price is irrelevent when quality and customer service is the best in the business. For this lifetime and the next

Juts to push the limits of manliness...I'm gonna polish one side of the infi Clever to a mirror to use while I shave with the INFI WTF....:D

Not sure how it would not be a "real" cleaver. An axe is still an axe, a sword is still a sword and a knife is still a knife, regardless of who makes it or its thickness and grind variations.

Oh, don't get me wrong. I never doubted that the Busse Cleaver was less of a cleaver. I merely challenged the notion of pricing in ratio to the (limited) functionality of the Busse Cleaver. Like someone else mentioned in this thread, he already has one of a stainless steel version and hardly uses it at all.

5.5" cleaver blade wont get me very far out on the trail, not to mention an already restrictive blade style that wont provide much else in use all for an excellent one time deal of $797 plus tax!

However, if someone is a grill-head as a side career at home/camp and uses a cleaver as a go-to blade of choice more than anything, then more power to him/her. We all know we're buying the blades because of the name, the steel, and not to mention the warranty. But this is one blade type with such a price tag that made my quixotic-detection bone giggle in amusement.

Well, I do believe you did call it a "want to be cleaver". It isn't. It's a cleaver. Seems a bit spendy to me too, but at the same time my buddy who shoots a $200 Mossberg thinks the same way about my $1600 dollar Benelli. They do the exact same job. Difference I see here is that this cleaver could also be used for processing wood for the camp fire or any othe kind of chopping someone might care to do. Probably not something many are willing to try with other high dollar cleavers.

I indeed called it a "want to be cleaver" and for a very good reason. It's a slab of INFI steel that wishes to be thin and amiable towards the suppose thin side of definite cleavers contrived with substantively thin sharp edges designed to "chop" through bones and still slice through meat, when the reality is that it is not a traditional Cleaver in and of itself, not with the type of history Busse is known for, let alone how the members of the Busse crowd treats the knives in general. (Yay for run on sentence!)

THAT is why I called it a "want to be cleaver".

Just went and compared the Bunker Buster to the NMSFNO LE which is Kinda Iconic-I am in no way saying the Bunker Buster is a better knife-I own 3 NMSFNO's and they are one of my favorite blades so here are some comparisons

NMSFNO LE 8 inch Blade, .225 Thickness, Overall Length 14 inches-Blade Width not listed, mine seems to be at right around 1 3/4 Price with TIGERHIDE LINEN in 2008 $597
Buster Bunker 8.5 inch Blade, ,220 thickness, Overall Length 14 inches and the Blade width at 2.1-Price with G10 Handles $557-I listed G10 only because it is the most expensive option

In my opinion 8 years later to offer a similar knife at this price is a darn good bargain-Granted different blade types, but the specs are very similar
Also need to mention the Nuclear Meltdown Treatment was I am sure more work and labor to complete-I may be trying to talk myself into getting another one.....mmmmmm
