What kind of torture is this
I really like mine. As others have said it balances towards the blade side. The blade arrived hair shaving sharp at least I am going to strop it some more. I found it will fit into an Azula leather NFNO sheathe that wasn't being used.I will be ordering some Kydex pants soon once I decide what I want.
I think it's just a matter of perspective :
Since we grab the handle which is further back than where your zip tie is , our sense of balance is perceived as having more blade heavy balance. If we grabbed directly centered over the front lanyard hole where your zip tie is, it'd feel more neutral.
I personally found the balance point to be right at the front of the scale which intersects the front lanyard hole and matches your findings.
So it's relative to where your point of reference is. A bit "blade heavy" when grabbing the handle normally, but the true balance point is where you indicated.
LOL those blades are huge, they make the already big Jack look small.Wow..... I'm impressed..... This thing is even better than I anticipated. I'm absolutely in love with how it looks in satin and black G10, no regrets whatsoever... ZERO! This thing is just beautiful. Makes me wish I had gotten the black G10 for the AFBM instead of black canvas (though I may yet still appreciate the canvas under hard use).
It's a nearly dead on .030 behind the edge all the way out to the tip just like the AFBM is. That's some great geometry for its intended use IMHO and great consistency by the Busse gang. You get what you pay for with Busse, there's no doubt about that.
And that handle! Man do I love that handle! Feels plenty thick (not a fan of thin handles) and those very generous radii make it a pure pleasure to hold. We'll see if blisters become an issue under hard use as the grooves on the sides are on the more aggressive side (I'm guessing the G10 feels a bit more aggressive than the canvas would have) but I prefer this because this thing isn't going anywhere in your hand. It's very secure feeling. Did I mention I like the look of the black G10? If I did, then scratch that...... I LOOOOVE IT!
Great jobJerry Busse and crew! A new instant favorite in my collection.
Ok, enough of me blathering, here's what you're probably more interested in, pics (video is still uploading to imgur, it failed after a very long wait on my 1st attempt, will post vid in morning if it uploads successfully overnight) :

I must have received a different knife than you guys. Balance on mine is where it should be for general purpose.
To clarify…my “what torture is this” post was me being impatient for the pics you said you were going to post but hadnt, not a judgement on the knife
…I haven’t received mine yet.
*stares out front window hoping to see a large brown truck
Understood. That’s why I took pics this morning
